We have something to celebrate! It’s the birthday of our photovoltaic system, which is now 10 years old. Our colleague Savaş looks after the system with great dedication. He has also played a key role in guiding and supervising the construction of the new system in Berlin and the new extension in Kaufungen.
The plant at our AMBION headquarters has generated around 1,500,000 kWh of electrical energy to date. That is an average of 150,000 kWh per year. We can cover around half of our daily electricity consumption with PV. The rest is fed into the grid. With the expansion of the plant in Kaufungen and the construction of the new plant in Berlin, we will generate around 670,000 kWh per year in future.
By the way: We are now listed in the German Sustainability Code (DNK) with our sustainability report for 2022. Regular documentation makes our sustainability goals and measures more visible and allows us to better monitor our development and alignment with our goals. In total, a declaration was drawn up for twenty DNK criteria and AMBION’s position and measures in the respective area were presented.
